Colwick Parish Council is a non political organisation with responsibilities for the village of Colwick, which is in the Borough of Gedling and in the County of Nottinghamshire.
Our work includes having an overview of all planning applications within the village, providing a litter picker to keep the streets clean, the organisation and day to day administration of the Colwick Community Centre on Vale Road and the employment of staff at that centre.
The Parish Council also provides activities for our elderly residents including a summer outing and a Christmas party, and for our Younger residents a Summer Fun Day on the Recreation Ground on Rectory Road.
The Council meets every THIRD Monday of every month (except August and December) at 7.00pm in the small hall of the Colwick Community Centre. All our meetings are open meetings and any resident of the village is very welcome to attend. Minutes and agendas of all our meetings are to be found elsewhere on this website.
Once a year in May the Parish Council holds an Annual Parish Meeting at which a report of the past year’s activities is produced and a balance sheet of its expenses. There is also a time for residents to bring to the Council any queries, complaints, problems or indeed praise!
