Colwick Parish Council is a non-political organisation with responsibilities for Colwick Village, which lies wholly within the boundaries of both Gedling Borough Council and Nottinghamshire County Council.

Our work includes having an overview of all planning applications within the village, providing a litter picker to keep the streets clean, the organisation and day to day administration of the Colwick Community Centre on Vale Road and the employment of staff at that centre.

The Parish Council also provides activities for our elderly residents including a summer outing and a Christmas party, and for our Younger residents a Summer Fun Day on the Recreation Ground on Rectory Road.

The Parish Council meets 10 times a year and normally on the 3rd Monday in the month; there is no meeting in August or December.  It meets in the Small Hall of the Community Centre on Vale Road.

The meeting in May each year is the Annual General Meeting where an annual report on what has been happening in the village is given as well as the Annual Accounts of the Parish Council is issued.

All our meetings are open meetings and any resident of the village is very welcome to attend. Further information can be found on the Council Meetings page.
